I totally agree, I like allot of the classic building, but this new one is all curtain glass and sheet metal.

i am guessing it is much cheaper to produce the latter?
i like the sepia tone here, gives it a dated look. |

Thanks Hards,
I kinda like the results of the dated look, with the old stone fed court house up front and that monster going up in the back ground.

Maggo,
Just don't come now, the winds are howling. You do not think that NYC is that windy. But when it blows. It is freezing. Also be prepare for culture shock. The first time my wife came to NYC, it was very overwhelming with the pace of life here. And she is from Frankfurt. That will be one of the tallest building downtown till the new tower goes up at WTC site. Which will be 1776 feet, kind of overwhelming. The Burj in Dubai was way to dominating in my opinion. It just dwarf everything in the city. Higher is nice, but there is a point where it is just to much, imho. ![]()

I don't think it's just a question of money. There's no law that says that a glass structure HAS to be ugly. Dave
