Here is a test.. is this better? Thanks again for the tips. Greatly appreciated
Also what is the best way to blend the 2 layers??

I always do all the pp I want to do on the original (or cropped) size - when I'm finished with my shot, I resize it (1024 or 800 on the longest side), do the sharpening with unsharp mask (mostly with 100; 1.1; 1 or so) and then upload... I'm always satisfied with the results
