Thanks for looking Walter.Yes it is a unique home, and a unique neighborhood. The location is one block away from Delaware Park, an Olmsted Park, that was also the site of the 1901 Pan American Exposition.
I lived in this neighborhood for awhile when I was young. On the opposite corner diagonally from the Wright house is the Church we attended: ![]() This neighborhood has many fine examples of other architectural styles (Victorian, Tudor, Craftsman). This is onedirectly accross the street: ![]() And these are also in walking distance ![]() ![]() ![]() I hope this series along with the ones I did on Delaware Park and Forest Lawn Cemetery gives a different flavor of Buffalo, NYthan what many have perceived .... more like what one of our own,NBC News' Tim Russert, talked about. |

Its always a great pleasure for me to see any work by Wright. Thanks so much for the views here. Does anyone have any pics of Falling Waters?

Appealing images taken with your K100D thanks to your tasteful composition!
The horizontal lines of the Darwin Martin house, associated with the prairie school at which heattained merging form and function in one in coherence with nature, are nicely complemented by the gothic lines of the following church and houses ![]() Surely addinghere the Falling Waters by the very architectwould be a great bonus ; ) |

Nice shots of that home. There are actually a few FLW homes in the Buffalo area along with a lot of beautiful architecture. Some really nice looking mansions line Delaware Ave heading into Buffalo south of Delaware Park. This city certainly has a unique and interesting skyline. One of these times I'll get around to taking some snapshots of the unique architecture of the area.
