Hi musket, i think you need a good picture to start with and this picture is just an ok pic more thought provoking that tech correct. I find adjusting colour changes the picture rather than improves it, in most cases. So its down to taste i guess. Do you go in for frames, this is the first one I've seen you use and it is very bold to compliment your photo adjustment. But Musket do tell me,how to get a landscape photo and guarantee the sky will not bleach. So often i shoot 2/3rds land setup, and adjust the settings in order to getenough light into the land, the sky tends to bleach and lose much of its colour and contrast. Can you help musket? Is it a matter of filters?

I found the frames facility in a demo prog 'fotofinish' just thought I'd give it a try and picked yellow to contrast with the mauves in the photo. There are a lot of techniques for getting the picture balance of land and sky eg. filters that reduce glare, filter or enhance the top third of the photo.. If it is bright daylight sometimes a circ polariser filter helps a lot and in PP underexposure and highlight adjustment can sometimes do the trick. http://www.naturescapes.net/062004/gd0604.htm It depends a lot on the scene and what might be the best way to capture it, there are a lot of tutorials on the web, some simple solutions and some very technical. So a bit of browsing and looking at tutorials and photography help lines might be the answer you're looking for. the good thing about digital photography is it allows you to get it wrong a lot of times (trial and error) and so come up with some good pictures and scenes...........:|............musket. ps colour often makes the picture and digital photography has been trying for years to mimic film photography so for those who like the colour of film photo's the channel mixer in PP is one way to do it. Also the chrome setting on the F20 boosts colours  |
