Bahadir, it is always a good day when I get the chance to view the beautiful shots & read your exquisite words. I can never decide which is more interesting ... your captures of ancient structures, landscapes, & seascapes or your poetic words of yore. How nice it must be to be able to explore such age-old structures. Here, if a building is more than 20years old, it's ruled a disaster & leveled but of course, noone builds anything of quality anymore. Certainly, not to last for 1800 years or more! When I (an Illinois farmboy) got the chance to go to Ireland, I was so overwhelmed with these ruins that are hundreds & hundreds of years old & these structures, no matter how dilapidated, show more character than any of these "cookie cutter" buildings here in the States. I know, I know ... the grass is always greener ... right, Bahadir?

Great picture. I, too am surprised at the condition of the buildings. Roman structures weren't always beautiful, but they were built to last.
