Wellcome gretto! The neatness of the image strikes first, as if I am actually looking through a window where my monitor is supposed to be! Both versions are pretty good, second beingsomewhat better thanks to the filter you applied.Ah, the gratifyingarchitecture suggesting peace and quietude is another story... I would like to see more examplesof your surroundingwhich appears fairly inspiring

Very nice.
Was it really that colorful in person? Or have you boosted saturation a bit? Those rooftops are very red! Very nice edit though. Very sharp, and maybe a bit contrasty (black level looks very high), but I still think it suits the subject well. And the composition couldn't be better. I think I prefer the first version, though. I'd rather keep attention on the wonderful colors you've captured in those houses. The added color in the sky I find distracts from that a bit. And you've lost a bit of cloud detail in the edit. I think it look a bit flatter as well; the buildings pop out a bit more in the first shot, with the dark rooftops offset against the lighter sky. In this case, I think you should maybe keep the sky in the background where it belongs. |
