Horrible S5000 pictures
I have been hearing bad things about my beloved S5000. Here are a few pictures I took tonight using a tripod and manual settings. I think they are pretty good. I love this S5000!

nice pics. i like the 4th one best. too bad there isn't a little more detail in the dark areas. i don't see anything wrong with the s5000. seems like a nice camera to me.

I think that (if we let out the low end under 500$ cameras) you can make good photos with every camera, you just have to know how. If anyone thinks his camera is bad, give it to a pro for a few shots and you'll change your mind.

Oh yes ! Intersting shots and nice ideas.

They could be even better if you rotate them in order to align vertical and horizontal lines, except for the fourth shot that will need a special treatment.

Very catchy caption, goofas :D. You "reeled" this viewer in. Ha, ha!

Very nice architectural series.

I especially liked its variety within a common theme.

The last two are especially stunning :)

Nice pictures. Houston is one of my favorite US skylines.

Thanks for the picture of you in the avatar, it's always nice to see who you're comunicating with.

Loved the night shots, are they of Houston? The night skyline in Texas cities have fascinated me since visiting San Antonio several times.

Yes; it is Houston. Selvin....great picture. You have a real talent that I have been following here in the forum. I have learned a great bit from your remarks. Keep posting to help out the "new guy" like me!

I noted Steve's review of the Fuji S5000 and then your shots. Have been toying with the idea of getting a good mid-price Ultra zoom Digital and the S5000 looks like a good candidate. The other candidates are the Olympus CAMedia 740 etc. I'm not crazy about the Olympus because of one minor but very irritating detail, when you unload images from your memory card the counter restarts the numbering of your images instead of continuing consecutive numbering. I know, minor but very irritating.

At the risk of being too nosey, where did you get yours and what price, plus were you satisfied if bought on line.

Goofas Sep 22, 2003 7:01 AM for $401 is the current price and free fedex shipping. This is a top notch company that is fantastic! They will not accept refunds on digital cameras only exchange. I was sure I wanted the S5000 so this was not an issue for me.
