I noticed with interest the tilework and the arabic lettering on the post office. And I wondered, since the Latin Alphabet became used, it must be a chore for scholars to go back and read old original documents.
Is the Arabic system taught as well as the Latin one? I particularly like your photo of the train station, BTW.Intriquing that two clocks are on each face of the building, as though necessary to keep a strict symmetry. |
