Hi
Can anything be done about the building looking like it's going to topple over? I don't remember it looking like thatwhen framing it in the view finder!! Thanks Lello |

You can crop it and rotate it. You could also use a perspective tool. But you'd have to crop there, too.

I would download the free PTLens – I think you can use it in Elements. It has the FZ30 in the database and will remove any barrel distortion, which straightens out the lines some.
I have an older version of PTLens which doesn't have the FZ30. I'm too lazy to download it since my camera is in the database I have. I just used Transform > Skew in Photoshop without any other distortion corrections. I would guess Elements has the transform feature. It is under Edit in Photoshop and you have to put a marquee around it to make the transform available. You could also do the entire job with the free PT Tools, but without buying a decent GUI is isn't that easy to use. PT Lens is pretty much automatic if your camera is in the database. But it just corrects the barrel distortion, which doesn't straighten the vertical lines much. You could pull the window line completely vertical but you would lose any sky. You needed to make more space on the right for the transform. |
