I like photos of lighthouses as some may know. When my wife spotted something that looked like a lighthouse in a newspaper photo taken in Clinton, IA we decided to take a day trip and see for ourselves. In spite the first photo these are not lighthouses in the traditional sense of a navigational aid. I don't really know their purpose but I enjoyed taking the photos anyway.

A. C.,
Who doesn't like lighthouses. Guiding, helping. These are ethical buildings. Seems to be universal. Blue and white - a favourite combination of mine. Favourite picture composition wise - number three. Can I lift it out? Thanks Torgny Last edited by Torgny; Aug 13, 2009 at 6:28 AM. |

Torgny:
Feel free to play with any of the images. I did check with a co-worker from Clinton and as far as he knows these "lighthouses" were created for decorative purposes only. A. C. |
