The constant public art projects that the city funds for the enjoyment of their resident. This was one of my favorite art projects, it was back in 2008.

When I first heard about this "waterfall" I asked someone to post a pic. After a long wait finally. Thanks a lot. Much appreciated.

Not a problem, glad I could provide you the info. I am surprise that nobody had posted any photos. One day during a bicycle ride, I could have sworn that there were well over 2000 people taking pictures of the waterfalls. As I was screaming for them to get off the bicycle path. PPL were setting up tripods under the manhattan side of the Brooklyn bridge shooting day and light as they lit it up with different color at night.

I heard about this before they actually set it up. The artistic rendering looked pretty good and made it look like the water was flowing from a river along the bridge. Seeing the scaffolding kind of breaks the illusion. But I like looking anyway.

At night that illusion did happen as you really could not make out the scaffold. My P&S could not take the shot at night. Out of it's ability range at that distance.

True indeed! My wife's folks live on Long Island and we make the trip out that way each year across the Verranzano Narrows, the BQE on to the LIE. Nice view of NYC's skyline to enjoy as well as the Bklyn Bridge. I do not miss NYC traffic though!

Why did you not just take the belt parkway and avoid some of the traffic. The LIE is horrible in queens. You get to hug the coast a bit also for a nicer view then the Long Island Parking Lot, aka LIE.
