Another fine example of your unique vision, Torgny.
Made me think again, several times, as all your shots do. But I'd really like to see more of the church. Please? |

![]() Thank you, The Barbarian. The entire church is best viewed in winter and spring. It is embedded in foliage. I´ll be happy to send a couple of pictures in a month or so. Hope a 17-40 mm can make it Here are a couple of details though. A general theme of this particular church, it seems to me, is what ethnologists call "similar creates similar" (Sorry, don´t have the words for it) The door detail picture might show the theme |

![]() The cropping is intentional. Not all is light in the history of christianity so I let the shadow be dark although a detailed analysis of the darkness seems appropriate |

Ah, thank you. The last one may be the best of all.
Were you referring to "sympathetic magic?" |

And more concrete an example could be manipulating a hole in a tree before childbirth More specific to this thread I was referring to small ornaments in the form of dragons scattered at places around the church. These little dragons appearance is so vivid that at least one dog was standing barking aggressively when looking at one of them That´s the other side of it. Not turning the other cheek but reacting in a similar way as the evil. We have current examples of that, unfortunately, and it is not exactly "room clean" in the finer theological/political/jurisdictional rooms to discuss the subject. There are no ways for them to solve the teodicé-problems and avoid tarnishing the golden rule When I get that tele-lens I´ll try to catch these little monsters /T |
