Took my G5 out last night for my first night shots ever and my first real try at the G5.
Pic seemed to loose something when I resized it, I ran a sharpen on it in PSP, that helped some but still missing something from the original. I would have liked to have shot from a different location but I only have a monopod that I was bracing against my car door. ![]() Make - Canon Model - Canon PowerShot G5 Orientation - Top left XResolution - 180 YResolution - 180 ResolutionUnit - Inch DateTime - 2003:11:01 00:06:14 YCbCrPositioning - Centered ExifOffset - 196 ExposureTime - 20/10 seconds FNumber - 3.50 ExifVersion - 220 DateTimeOriginal - 2003:11:01 00:06:14 DateTimeDigitized - 2003:11:01 00:06:14 ComponentsConfiguration - YCbCr CompressedBitsPerPixel - 5 (bits/pixel) ShutterSpeedValue - 1/1 seconds ApertureValue - F 3.51 ExposureBiasValue - 0.67 MaxApertureValue - F 2.80 MeteringMode - Multi-segment Flash - Not fired, compulsory flash mode FocalLength - 20.69 mm UserComment - FlashPixVersion - 100 ColorSpace - sRGB ExifImageWidth - 2592 ExifImageHeight - 1944 InteroperabilityOffset - 1578 FocalPlaneXResolution - 9159.01 FocalPlaneYResolution - 9169.81 FocalPlaneResolutionUnit - Inch SensingMethod - One-chip color area sensor FileSource - DSC - Digital still camera CustomRendered - Normal process ExposureMode - Auto bracket WhiteBalance - Auto DigitalZoomRatio - 1.00 x SceneCaptureType - Standard Maker Note (Vendor): - Macro mode - Normal Self timer - Off Quality - Superfine Flash mode - Not fired Sequence mode - Single or Timer Focus mode - Single Image size - Large Easy shooting mode - Manual Digital zoom - None Contrast - Normal Saturation - Normal Sharpness - Normal ISO Value - 50 Metering mode - Evaluative Focus type - Auto AF point selected - Exposure mode - Tv-priority Focal length - 230 - 922 mm Flash activity - Not fired Sequence number - 0 White Balance - Auto Image Type - IMG:PowerShot G5 JPEG Firmware Version - Firmware Version 1.00 Image Number - 1000040 Owner Name - |

![]() The camera was in exposure bracket mode. I don't fully understand exposure at this time, hence the bracketing. I used irfanview to paste the data but don't know what half of it means. :? Shutter speed was 1/1 sec. |

I really wish I had a tripod so I could have gotten off of the parking lot I was using.
I could have got some great Halloween shots if I could have gone into the grave yard, there was a particularly nice mist rolling in off of the water last night. ![]() Luckily this location is about 5 min from my house so as soon as my tripod comes in I can try again. |
