This caught my eye when I was walking on Laguna Beach today. The ocean takes its toll, and this rust stands out in contrast to the well-kept nature of expensive beachfront property.

I like the contrast a lot...perhaps it would have even more effect if you provided a wider angle showing more of the house. But then you'd lose the focus on the railing which you have here.

A Geometric Delight! I like the geometry of this shot alot. For me, the out of place purple piller is an a fun touch. Out of place color-wise. Good eye to see the photograph in the jumble. Steve Oh, wait. I just saw were your from. Maybe the purple isn't all that out of place after all. We Californians are always pushing the enevelope. Still, I think it's a great photograph.

G'day there,
I gotta say I like the contrasting colour here as well. Not sure a wider angle would have been that much better though. A couple of the element up the top are a bit distracting, but they could be PS out. It looks as if they have built the place all nice and shiny but have forgotten it from there on in. Sad really how once the pretty picture of a place has been made it is then left to ruin a lot of the time. Ollie ![]() |
