We went to San Antonio in 2006 for the US Academic Decathlon and totally fell in love with River Walk. You could walk "under" the city for hours. A photographer's paradise! I'll see if I can put up a few of my favorites.

Wow, nice hibiscus and good use of the bridge as a background. Here's a shot of the downtown area near the Alamo, and a bit of the River Walk:

Very nice, the river walk is always a nice spot to visit when I am down that way. The pano capture it quite well. How hot was it when you took these shots? It looked like most the people did not come out till the sun started to set to avoid the heat.

These were taken toward evening. People either come during the day, or wait until it's dark, when the lights come up and make it really beautiful. I timed it to have relatively few people, because I was taking some shots of my daughter for her senior pictures.

Nice series. I like the flower shot specifically.
I lived in the city of Converse just outside of San Antonio for fifteen years. My wife and I enjoyed the riverwalk whenever we visited it. Thanks |
