Torgny, have you considered a slight posterization, reducing the number of colors in the picture?
I think this is an example of a picture that would really be enanced by posterization. I hope you don't mind me messing around with it a little. ![]() |

Photography. a printing process in which all tone values of a negative are reduced to a few and the tonal separation negatives produced are printed at different exposure levels on a high-contrast film so that a set of flat tones results. Somewhat similar to cell shading in computer graphics? Looks great. I´m trying to remember the scene. The green from the bicycle, but where did the blue come from? Thanks Torgny |

I use the Gnu Image Manipulation Program, which has a posterization function that lets one directly specify the number of colors.
I imagine something like that is available in photoshop. Give it a shot. |

I use the 2.2 version, which works fine for me. There is also something called GIMPShop, which is a little more comfortable for those who like Photoshop, but I like the original.
It is a little less user-friendly. Interestingly, O'Reilly has a manual for it. And there are numerous tutorials on the net. I'm running it on XP. There are a few interestingbehaviors, but nothing that causes me any problems. |
