About 70 north of my location there is a town that has a very unique park. The highlight of which is an amazing foot bridge that is actually a working Sun dial. It also offered an opportunity for some really interesting photos. See if you agree.

I go the second one hands down. I do like the color and detail of this shot. What did you do as far as PP?
I definitely need to check this out when I get back to California. Been going out to Bodega Bay the last four times so this will be quite the change of pace. Haven't been to Redding for fifteen years. |

Thanks Tom and Joe,
PP for that shot was done in Photoshop Elements 4.0. I started by cropping to 8x10, then I reduced noise at Max (10) , then I used USM with settings at amount 25% Pixel radius 80.0 which added a little boost to color and contrast, I used the adjust smart fix at about 50% and finally I think I tweeked the levels by moving the right hand slider of the histogram to the left a bit. I think those were the steps. This bridge and the Turtle Bay Exploration Park are a really nice facility. I am glad we drove the 70miles to see it. I will deffinately be going back. There were many more photo ops. waiting. All the best, Steve |
