bahadir
Thanks again for sharing, we know that these shots dont constitute any real test as to determine the best dcam, but serve as something to start to a discussion and it's worth bringing along a flash card to the shop then have a look at the pics when you get home, great if the staff at the shop are helpful in this way. Noticeable difference between the two pics are contrast, saturation and colour difference. Which is nearer the scene as you remember it? we can't say that the camera never lies :-) ![]() |

Thanks bahadir didn't think you would test so soon,, anyway canon looks good also, i would assume it was the kit lens 18-55 right? and what is your take on those 4 cameras, like which way would you go.

Thanks for your appreciation, musket.
So far, I have always considered the real life shots of the cameras I bought and never regretted : ) Great ifsuchpictures are taken under similar conditions if not identical. Well, one can do a great deal of adjustment on parameters of the camera as well as a lot of pp. However, the images you shoot before these arrangementshint the typical behaviour of the cameraunder some indended conditions (clipping highlights, inconsistent metering, colour bias, etc.)and of the sharpness of its kit lens( I do not consider changing the kit lens fora while..) Now, as I am seriously considering a decent tool for me, Iam happyto be able to share some of my effort with my mates here! Btw, I am actually consirering the DSLR for low lightinterior conditions such as museums and historical architecture. Quote:
.................................................. ............................... Thanks for your kind interestHercules! Yes, you're quite right! Therseis the kit lens on. Well, if I wouldn't mind carrying around bulky equipment and also the monetary investment!! I'd probably go for Canon 20D with some wide anglesharp lens with IS ...Anyway, it seems the k100d offers me great features and IQfor theprice, regarding my purpose which I mentioned in my reply to musket. Still, I might consider waiting for the D40x to see any further improvement other than MP :-) Anyway I hope you'll also enjoy the images below from the Olympus E-400 and my good old S70!! |

I have looked at these several times now and each time I come away quite impressed with the E-400 photo without the flash. I almost purchased a Olympus e-500 but went with the Nikon D-50 due to more lens options. The Olys are great at keeping dust off the sensor but I found out it was a snap to clean my D-50 myself. I have come to the conclusion that the major models all have good and bad about them and it really is the skill of the photographer that matters most. I think you can make beautiful photos with any dslr.
