This old house had a warm front - at least the low afternoon-sun made it look like that - and a cold backside when I passed it. I had to take a picture and hope that the temperatures show. BTW, it really was cold that day (yesterday) - the temperature was minus 18ºC which is 0,39999ºF if that conversion-page is correct.....
![]() Of course, it's a HDR: ![]() The inevitable middle-exposure, below: Last edited by Walter_S; Jan 9, 2010 at 2:32 PM. |

Many HDR images that I see seem to have an artificial quality about it. Your image on the other hand is one of the most natural looking I've seen. Outstanding composition and lighting result. The sharpness and detail is amazing as well. 2 thumbs up from me!

I too, did not realize it was an HDR. That is the best kind of HDR, I think.
Very striking image. Wish I had done it. |

Wow, I LOVE the lightning, Walter - this is just another outstanding HDR! The contrast between the really warm front and the cold back is what I like too - nice work

I always try to make my HDR's as close as possible to the 'truth'. Mind you, I had my "over the top"-renderings when I first started out with HDR, but after a while the novelty wears off and realism is more interesting than overcooking. This is one of the best compliments I can get, Barbarian. I want my HDR's to be second or third look HDR's! Thank you. Well, it is kind of a wizardry really - and I love it! ![]() ![]() Thank you, maggo85 - I do have the advantage of pretty good motives and a low sun in the wintertime! ![]() Thank you all, guys! ![]() |
