Normally one would not expect a picture of a power plant to amount to much but that picture is outstanding. The colors, the composition, etc. I don't think I could have done better. The only think that is distracting is the copyright message. It would have been better at the very bottom and with maybe a darker font.

I just did that when I posted it. I didn't really think to much about it. I thought that if you put it in the bottom corner someone could still crop it off. Thank you for the Nice comments. The only thing that I wish I would have done better would have been to eliminate the fence and the blurry plant on the right. But I'm still happy with this shot.

Hi there, Matthew;
Industrial sites make for very interesting night-time landscapes. I think your exposure is bang-on. I do agree about thecopyright message and the fence. I think the fence could be cropped out quite easily. As for the copyright, look around this site (and others) Most of the serious folks have a signature that they apply to their images. The good ones are distinctive without distracting from the images themselves. regards, Tom, on Point Pelee, Canada http://www.darwinonline.org/index.php?cat=11078 |
