Chris, these are very neat,well exposedimages. Any unsharp mask at PS or in camera sharpening?? I also wonder which lens was on your camera andif youthinkyour new lenshood helped with these images while shooting. The second shot, especially, considering the composition also, is a keeper

Thanks Bahadir! I didn't sharpen these pics. I did adjust the color a little. I used the 28-70mm f/2.8 L lens for these shots. These were taken before I bought the lens hood.

If you had posted it(the second one) a few days ago, I would have suggested you attend the 'Flags and Banners' at Weekly Photo Challenge Forum. After all, having been built as early as 19th century as the longest suspention bridge ot its time, it's been an edifice almost identified with America herself. Neverthless, as you live in NY I think you can reshoot the same composition but this time trying to eliminating the top of the lamppost on the right if possible (or else there would be a minute clonning out process which you will have enough time to love:G)

Cloning out the light post will definitely be a challenge :O The most I've eber done was to remove dust off my wrist watch pics:G I'll give it a try tonight :-)
