Thought this was an interesting angle inside a band-shell type Gazebo in a public park near downtown Irving. Canon 5D, EF 16-35 2.8L

A straight-on (up) angle, laying on my back.

Beautiful shots, Walter! There's just something about those old gazebos that I always make me stop & yearn for the day's of my father, when things were a little slower. It is wonderful to see that the town has taken the time & money to restore (or build) such an awesome structure. Thanks for getting me lost in the 1st shot. All of those lines really give it brilliant depth!

Ron. The City of Irving has spent a lot of money fixing up its downtown. To me, however, its a case of "penny-wise and pound-foolish". They failed to come up with a proposal that would keep the Dallas Cowboys in that city (with a new stadium). Instead, Arlington will get the new $1 billion (!!!) stadium -- said to be the biggest and most luxurious in the world when built (2008-9).

But, yes, I too enjoy seeing these reminders of days gone by.
