Second series of photo's from the inner courtyard and ramparts.

Stairs on the way in

1.

One of the ramparts.

2.

Looking down on the courtyard.

3.

The cannon crew are at the ready.

4.

Not many ships will get past this one.

5.

And if the cannon don't work this knight will have a go.

6.

Another view of the knight getting ready.

7.

And this maiden is only concerned about who took away the stairs.

8.

musket,

Very sharp (and of course informative) pictures. My favourite is number 2. Interesting "twisted" (in the positive meaning of the word) composition.

What lens did you use for this?

Thank you for your comments. It is indeed odd perspective and

that shot looks rather twisted, the lens is the kit D80 lens 18-135mm.

but its not the oddest shot on these takes, how about this one, here

the stout wall that the cannon pokes through looks paper thin. :-)

I have accentuated it by adding more on to the top of the photo, this is

what I first viewed in 'Picture project' when I was editing

I will have to get to work sometime on the shots taken inside the buildings

for another series on this theme.....musket

Bahadir

Thank you again for your kind comments.

The castle is seeded with these statues, it's very hard to go around it

without bumping into a few of them, so I thought it right to include some

of them and I must say they all look well in situ in their period dress.....musket
