The bar installation doesn't look jail worthy but sure made a good opportunity for your pleasing photographs using framing and simplicity as the strong features.

Thank you very much for your appreciation!

The building is a side-building to "Kronhuset" (The Crown House) in Gothenburg, said to be the oldest building in town.

It has been used as Military facility a long time ago. It is situated in the middle of the town so the function of the bars probably was to prevent people from getting out, not the other way around. So it may have been a military prison (beware!)

I´m not sure though. I´ll do some research.

I give you a link

http://www10.goteborg.se/english/ind...n_pictures.htm

Hope you have installed RealPlayer. Don´t know if ot runs with other players but you´ll know your way around.

Click Slideshow (to the right; under Internal links) and you´ll see pictures of the town. Embedded in the slide show is a picture, "Kronhuset". That´s where I made the pictures (Canon 30D + EF 24-105 L IS USM)

You are very welcome to The City of Gothenburg. I would be very happy to show you around, but as for now - if you have some time to spare - enjoy the pictures in the slide show
