That is fantastic, Clem. The Taj has appeared in many publications over the years and I don't think I've seen a better photograph of it than yours.

I'm wondering, do you have to get in line with other photographers at that hour in the morning to have a chance at a shot?

Thanx for the compliment. Haha, you should have seen how many photographers were vying for my spot. I was pretty much on my knees dead centre on thewalkway with cameras all around me, left right and above. But it was well worth the wait and the little nudges.

Fantastic picture- The building seems to have both great lightness and weight at the same time

That is sweet. It is one of the most photogrphed buildings anywhere on earth, and I have seen it a million times. Most of the time it is like, oh it's just another Taj Mahal shot, next. But you rimage stands out for me. That is saying a lot when talking about something like this.

Great shot, great reflection. Keep getting up at 5AM!

Probably the best point of view and time of the day to do justice to this legendary marble domed mausoleum Shah Jahan(or Cihan) intended for his belowed wife Mumtaz Mahal...Ahquite trajically, he spent his last daysin captivityin some room viewing this dramatic sight !

Great bonusalways awaitsthe early bird

PS. You might have the a complementaryimage of the edifice from thesame spot but shot in the late afternoon, which I'd also like to see: )

Actually it was waking up at 5am and then waiting in queue.... as any tourist attraction requires. The other shot i wanted was the Lotus Baha'i Temple in the morning. Maybe next time.
