I'm a newbie and took a bunch of night time shots in downtown Ottawa tonight. These are untouched and I liked the effect on both shots

The first is 1.0 sec ISO 200 and f3.2

Second is 1.0 sec ISO 200 and f2.8

Any comments are welcome as I'm interested in doing more of this type of shot.

But the exifs say opposite : )
Anyway, I guessyou leaned the camera somewhere for 1'' exposure! I'd advice lower ISO and longer exposure timewith a tripod for these kind of shots. Idid some sharpening + noise removal + a little lens distortion correction+ a little croppingfor your first picture. For the second photo I wish you included more of the memorial.

Thanks for sharing and keep on posting : )

Thanks for your comments and work on the picture bahadir. I'm very new at this and haven't learned all the things you can do to the picutres. I'm hoping to be using my FZ-18 a lot and will have to figure out all the adjusting that I can do.

I did take a couple of pictures of the full memorial but didn't like them quite as much. Here's one of them with the buildings in the background.
