Were you using a tripod or were pics handheld? Nice example of the S5000 zoom abilities.

I have found that I like the viewfinder instead of the screen on the back of the camera. I am able to hold the camera still and it feels more natural. Thanks for the compliments.

Man you've got a steady hand!
I've got 10x zoom also... but it always get blurry when i take a picture without a tripod....

the flag looks great btw...
I've shown it to my dad He loves that flag :P

Goofas,

Thanks for the comparison shots. Impressive especially being handhled.

I just read an article in Business Week reviewing several ultrazooms and the Fuji was noted as having less handsome pictures than the Olympus, Panasonic etc.

I think they may not have actually looked at real pictures.

Incidentally, can you manually focus the zoom lens or is it all auto?

Still looking seriously at getting one.
