Default Rockefeller Centre Statues

I took a walk at Rockefeller Centre in NYC at around noon today and took pictures of the statues there. Below are my HDR-edits. C&C welcome. Thank you for looking!

#1. Golden Statue of Prometheus.

#2. Male statue.

#3. Female statue.

#4. View from Prometheus' head.

Very different view then the norm of prometheus. Any particular reason of the choice of angle?

#'s 1 & 4 I like a lot. The symetry in perpective on #4 is very attractive. If you can clone our the people it would be even better.

#'s 2 & 3: I would have preferred a more blurred background. To me the background distracts somewhat from the statues themselves.

You sound like you're having a ball walking around the city!

I was thinking everyone already knows what the Prometheus statue looks like so I was looking for a different angle. I chose that one because I also wanted to show people and waited for the couple on the top left corner to be alone. I'm not sure if it works though.

I think also another reason is that I already have straight shots of the Prometheus statue when my son and I went there in September this year. Here's one I took in September. It also has the "multi-tasking" guy I posted here a while back:

Ok, catch the couple having a self portrait is cute on this one.

I liked 2 and 3,
on 1, it was just did not work for me,
on 4, like the way the shot framed sak's 5th ave with the other building, but Prometheus' touch bother me, it was kinda distracting.

I used Gaussian blur on the background of #'s 2 & 3. I'm not sure if I blurred it enough. If I blurred further, however, it looks to me like the statues are not really part but pasted into the photos -- but I could be wrong or I need more practice.

#5.

#6.

Regarding cloning out the people, I have to practice first on cloning. My first attemts didn't look very polished.

Thanks, jelpee! Yes, I guess you can say I'm having a ball.

Prometheus' torch actually bothered me, too. I was thinking at least it shows he's there. Thanks for pointing it out -- now I know I'm not alone.

It does look better without the torch.

That was easy.
