G'day mate

This could be a shot of a surburban house anywhere in the big wide land downunder
[image #2 is not visible to me at the moment...??]

I like the fret-work under the windows, the large open-to-the-world windows, followed by the precision of your camera work

Regards, Phil

G'day, Phil,

Fret-work - thanks for the word. It's a pretty old building. I like verandas and balconys in general.

I went for details this time around, struggling with angels, sorry angles. I'll place the second picture I had in mind in this reply. Makes me happy to think there are buildings like that in Australia

The footbridge to - and from the mansion - if you'd "go bananas" (from claustrofobia) as they say in the New Empire. Rest assured: there's always a way out

G'day Torgny

As before - precision with your camera work shows again !

and -yes- we do have old houses - well old as in late 1800s to early 1900s- all over Oz, and many still showing the rewards of having labour available to create beauty as well as functionality .... whereas these days, with the world spiralling downwards to the lowest-common-denominator of "what does it cost & how can we do it for less cost but with more profit", we no longer see things of beauty

In the latest images, I do like the way you have combined sun & shadow to create / show us more of the lovliness of the house too

Most impressed :-)
Regards, Phil

Thank you, Phil,

for following this thread. Yes, shadows and reflections are powerful tools for photography, I think. There are 2^2 possible combinations of those variables. In theory, that is

Still want to see shadows of shadows

Regards

Torgny

This is the mansion, full body version
