Default The raveges of time

Take their tole on all things sooner or later! This is a photo of a steel davit at Fort Casey on Whidbey Island, WA.
Fort Casey was a World War 1 and 2 Army Coast Artillery Base that protected the Puget Sound from enemy attacks. The davit shown in the photo was mounted near the Big Guns to hoist ammunition and supplies to the gun emplacement. It shows the test of time and the havoc that time and the elements play on things.

The old davit caught my "photographer's Eye", so I just Had to take it's photo to save it's memory for the generations to come.
