Hi all,

Took this pic tonight while taking a drive thru the country.

No down payment, flow-thru ventilation, plenty of storage, move right inand extremely low monthly payment LOL.

it's amazing how properties are let go to waste.

Kodak DX6490 and a little unsharp mask

Regards

When I see shots like this, I think of the lives lived, the births, the deaths... the walls testify to the humanity that inhabited the space. I find this deeply moving.

regards,

Tom, on Point Pelee, Canada

It's still got majesty. How many generations lived in it?

If this place could talk, what stories it could tell, i'll bet....maybe it still has inhabitants. Might not want to go back after dark.

Yes Tom, it is deeply moving. I don't know if all areas have so many abandoned houses or not, but there are enough around here that i'm starting to think of doing a pictorial study.

Panzergnome, knowing this area I would say it was built around 1875 or so. So a lot of generations. My house was built in 1860 and has been a drygoods store in its time. My area was also a very heavily travelled route on the underground railroad, and i've always felt its presence in my house.

Regards

It's almost romantic isn't it? It does make you really wonder about the history of the house and the events that took place early in its live to the eventual desertion of it.

I think I see him too. Looks like a guard. I think he's holdingsomething.

I don't see anythingin the porch door. Wait! That door does look very new compared to the rest of the house. Hmm... Seems kind of creepy.

Wouldn't want to be anywhere near there on halloween night!!
