Here are a few pics taken last February on a trip to Elan Valley. These dams were built at the turn of the 20th century to supply water to the ever growing Birmingham.



Another dam, the Clearwen, was built in 1952.

I played with this in photoshop a bit. It was a very wet day and misty too.:?

That'll be "Claerwen". It's Welsh!

Lovely pictures, especially the one showing the curves on the buttresses. Like a perfected version of a big cliff in Snowdonia 100mls north.

I live in Scotland now and hopefully I will be getting some of the local scenery pics to show you too.



I love Wales and Elan is one of my most favourite places.
