I shot this a couple of weeks ago. I think it is peaceful.

Lovely composition and colors.

To make it even better try darkening it a tad.

Hey Selvin,

I totally agree. I went back after I posted it and looked at it again in PS and it looked fine but on here it looks over exposed. I was going to reload the pic but am not sure why it lightened when I converted it for posting. It does look a lot better on the puter than on here... not sure why.

Bill

PS. thanks for the comments

This could be a postcard - beautiful scene.

I like the scene, but the photo seems a bit blue. I added a levels adjustment to get the colors to look a bit more pleasing, slightly altered the overall tint, and added a blurred layer at 25% opacity to tone down the sharpness (I like a softer image). See if you like it this way.

It looks best in the last two. I havn't seen the chaple in many years. The blue comes from a little know affect called clean air. Yes in some places the sky is still blue

And for a good example of bad air, drive down to Fresno after visiting Yosemite or any other wonderful spot in the Sierras. Although, lately the air has been somewhat clear thanks to the storms. Get wonderful panoramas of the snow-capped mountains. Would look even better if there weren't houses and wires in the view.

Beautiful shot.

If it were me, I'd be tempted to clone out the little twigs hanging down at the top right side of the shot. It looks like they are actually part of that large tree you were standing under when you took the shot.

It would be pretty easy to clone them out, and they're a small distraction to me from what is a beautiful tree behind them.

Just a thought. Great shot.

Edit: just realized how old the post was. Oh well.

Hey Wannabe! I never even noticed the twigs, but your right it would look better without them. As for the age of the post .... well I was surprised to see it get a hit after this long. Thanks for the kind words and the look.
