Vernon's becoming quite well-known for it's many wall murals that depict some of the town's history. This is one of them.

Very nice! I recall a trip from Victoria, up the island to somewhere in the vicinity of Nanaimo or a little ways past. I remember a small town with a sign that said come see the murals. We stopped and almost every building downtown had a beautiful mural painted on it. Would Vernon be this town? I would like to go back and see it again.

Thanks very much and Merry Christmas! The town you visited is Chemainus, which isfamous for it's Festival Of Murals, held every summer.Vernon is a resort city in the southern interior of the province, in an area called the North Okanagan.

Neat mural. I visited Chemainus about 14 years ago. I bought a large painting that has been hanging in my living room ever since. I love the Okanagan Valley too - gorgeous scenery.

Here is my adjustments. I boosted the contrast (boosted the black point in Levels) and preformed an unsharp mask to sharpen the painting.
