Thanks chaps.

Iknew the picture I was trying to achieve and got to the point of shooting anhour beforedarkness. I like to shoot night photo's while there is still some blue in the sky just beforethe night sky goes Black.

ps I think it works because the windows in the forground dont have lights on. If those apartments were all lit up I think the Tower might not have had the same effect.

Intriguing! Seems more than the effect of rain over many a year... I can see a date inscribed 22.12.1780, if I am not wrong?? Well, I'd suggest an independant post to do justice to this shot so as not steal from the glory of your Eiffel shot also

I never made it back over there for a night shot, just took a few while over in the vicinity one overcast morning...
