Batteries and D7i
I will be getting a Minolta D7i some time this week. I am also going on a trip soon. I have found some batteries at wal*mart,
nimh 1600(I can use 1600 with the D7i right?) If I buy two pare of 1600 and use the ones that come in the box, will the three sets be ok all day on my trip? (I will not be using the LCD)

Also I only have 3, 128MB CF cards for the whole week. What pic size should I set my cam to? I want to print out some 3 X 5.

Thanks for the help.:)

I think you'll be OK in the batteries department since you can recharge them every night. The flash cards however will be insufficient unless you reduce the picture size or their quality!

With a 128Mb you can take approximately 50 pictures (if you review and delete, that will also take away power from the picture taking part). However if you don't delete one set of battery can use up all three of your cards!

The next two resolutions down will get you 85 or 141 per card, but why getting a 5Mp camera when you are not using it's full capability? Do you have a laptop or something to download?

I don't have money to get the cam and a new CF card and I wish I still had my laptop. :( I will try and get maybe one or two more CF cards. There only $56.00 at Costco. It is a good deal because 128MB x 10=over 1Gb for $560.00 where as a 1Gb CF = $799.00.

I will just try and take as many pix as I can and if I need to take more I will just use the film camera. I will review the pix at the hotel at night and delete the ones that did not come out right.
