There's no contact in the cover when you flipped the battey around - How can one short anything out or does it even work that way ??? :?

This makes a difference as the camera uses the battery even when it sit idle...

-> A 2nd battery if left around will also lose its charge if not used !

I'm sorry.En-el4 is do a Nikon digital camera battery
I found in another replacement battery webpage,but i can't found the D300 in the fit model list,may be a incomplete info
