Default Are Varta Trio Charger & GP2000 batteries Compatible?

Hi guys,

I bought a pair of 2000mh GP batteries and a cahrger "Varta Trio Charger" for my coolpix 2100. At the back of charger it says that it has an automatic off after 16 hours and also when I look the types of batteries supported the maximum size I saw was 1600mh with 16 hours charge time.
Does it mean that I couldnt charge my 1900mh batteries fully? Or after auto-off is it usefull to replug. And also however there is an info on charger that it is for both NiMh and NiCa, there is no switch button. Will this charger break my GPs? Any ideas and experiences?

regards

I doubt it, this is a slow charger. At 150mA it will probably take a longer time to charge the 1900-2000mAh batteries, and certainly will not damage them... You're better of getting the Rayovac fast 1hr charger from Walmart/Target. (BTW Varta is owned by Rayovac)
