What is the big deal with these batteries, is there a link I can go to that describes what they do or has someone reviewed and tested them?
Do they take a conventional NIMH charger?

Hello Changeling,

The big deal is that they are advertised to retain around 85% of their initial capacity after one year of room temperature storage.

They charge on a normal NiMh charger.

First off, you gota love that squirell, LOL!!
I took a coco nut and attached it to a wire, cut a hole in it (1 inch) and hung it from a pecan tree in my back yard. It gives me more laughs than the comedy hour!!!!! They absolutely go "nuts" trying to knaw a hole in that thing.

I really appreciate the link to "Eneloop", explained what I wanted to know.

I am looking for the battery charger I will be using now (before buying camera) and I definately will be using those batteries in the camera.

Hi all,

I just bought a 4-pack of Eneloops at Ritz and I'm going to give them a try. The package had a date of May on it, so I did a discharge/charge cycle on my LaCross charger, but I didn't catch the total on the discharge side. However, I did see that they all took around 2100 mAh of charge, so that is right in line with what others have reported. If they can hold a charge as they say they can, then I'll be a happy camper!

If you have a Ritz store near you go there instead of buying on line. Shipping is $7.00 for 6 to 10 day delivery estimate (Ritz estimate). Just thought you guys would like to know.

Just wondering if anyone here has ordered the Eneloop batteries from Ritz Camera, from their online website?

The reason I ask, is after placing and order for them, I decided to check their rating on resellerratings.com, only to find one bad company. Apparently they like to list things in stock which really aren't and have extremely poor customer service.

Now I'm having regretted placing the order. I was just wondering if they actually do have them in stock.

Just an update to my previous post. It appears RitzCamera does have them in stock because they gave me a tracking number.

Amazon appears to be selling them now also.
