Can I have a 720mAh, and 1500mAh in the battery grip or any. What can go wrong if I can't.

Hello Imacer,

No.

When you have cells of differing capacity, the lowest capacity cell will discharge first, then the higher capacity cell will try to charge it. This will ruin your cell with NiCd, NiMh, and Alkaline cells, and there is the possibility of the cell leaking.

Hello Imacer,

I don't have that grip, so I don't know if it will work with only one pack installed. If it will, then yes.

Imacer,

Yes one battery in the grip will work, I tried it with my XTI. The double batteries are connected in parallel, one or two batteries still give you 7.4v.

I bought my batteries here, good price for a 900mAh.

coldshot I am worried about battery leaks with third party batteries. For now I have for original packs. I have the XTI also. I would love try third party batteries, but hat eto have a leak in a new camrea. How do your third party batteries hold up for the charge.
