Default Help me choose the right battery/charger combo...

Hi all. I am looking to get at least 8 AA NiMH rechargeable batteries and a charger. I've been looking on eBay and I have a few questions...

#1 - I read here that on some cheaper chargers, that if the batts aren't all used up the same amount, that you can't charge all 4 at a time? Is this correct? I am using an Argus DC3550 - will this drain all 4 batteries the same amount or no?

#2 - Does anyone have an opinion on any of the following brands of batteries. I've read the battery shootout over at imaging-resource and these weren't included: POWATECH/Powa Electronics 2000 mah, Dynacharge (Duracell????) 1800 mah, Powerizer 1800 mah batts. Which are better, Sanyo 2100 mah or Powerex 2200 mah? Is it a bad idea to get cheap rechargeables or is the difference negligible?

#3 - If a charger has a trickle mode, does that mean it can be left on after the charge has been completed? Or does the charger need to specifically have an "auto-off" mode?

#4 - Do you have any idea if the charger found here has auto-off/overcharge protection?

Thanks alot all.

Those Sanyos and Powerexs have been added to test:
http://www.imaging-resource.com/ACCS/BATTS/BATTS.HTM

And for charger:
It should have separate charging circuit and monitoring for each cells.
