I have started with Duracell. I regret it. Buy Powerex or Eneloop!

The Japanese made Duracell StayCharged or PreCharged AA
cells are actually rebadged Sanyo Eneloop. Check the small
print on the back of the pack because not all Duracell LSD cells
are made in Japan.

I have found the Panasonic Infinium AA cells are very good. Some
independent tests show they can be slightly better than Eneloop.
I bought a set of Infiniums with my new Canon 430EX II flash last
September. Almost nine months and several hundred shots later,
they are still going strong on the initial charge from the factory.

In my recent experience of ordinary (non-LSD) NiMH AA cells,
the worst performance by far was from a couple of sets of Energizer
2500mAh. The best performance has been from a couple of sets
of cheap supermarket (Aldi) own brand AA cells rated at 2300mAh.

You can never be quite sure of what you buy. This thread has been
running for more than three years. During that period, companies
like Duracell and Energizer have sold some of the best and also
some of the worst batteries on the market.
