Default NP 80 battery problems

I'm hoping someone has a solution for very short life of NP 80 batteries.
I am using them in a fuji 6900 that I really enjoy. The problem is the 5 or 10 minutes I get from a battery. I bought 4 aftermarket batteries..... 2 of which are junk....don't work at all. 2 were good about 6 months, now all(even the original Fuji battery) is failing.
Any suggestions, other than replacing the camera?

Thanks in advance for your help, OLDBUCK

PS How about an external pack?

Older NP-80 batteries have a capacity of 1,100 mAh, with the introduction of the 6900 this capacitiy was increased to 1,300 mAh. So, probably you're using batteries with the old spec, which indeed die very quickly in the 6900. NP-80's nowadays go as far as 1,350 mAh to my knowledge. An external battery pack is no option for the 6900.
