Default Olympus CR-V3 batteries

How many pictures can I take using one of them, in a Olympus BRIO D-230?
How about the recheargeable battery pack? How long do they last?

Obelix,
going to answer both posts. the super point of the batteries that come with the Olympus is the 5 year shelf life. A cam like yours will go long time on quality recharable AA's (4), with the 2 CR-V3 as back up. just do not develope a fixation with the lcd on real-real heavy shooting days. best 3 purchases, Usb card reader, recharable batteries and 128 meg card, use big card shoot on mode just below tiff. This will take you to highly rated charger by this sight.

You should get twice the power with the CR-V3 over the NiMh, but listen to Gary and get the AA rechargeable NiMh... You can get 4 NiMh for the same price as a pack of CR-V3 and you can recharge them for a long time rather than the one-time use of the CR-V3!

Thanks! That was really helpfull, but how many pictures can I take with the 1700mAH recheargeble batteries?
The cr-v3 batteries are expensive, but they last long. If with the recheargeable batteries I can take like, 30 photos, it really is annoying recharging the batteries every 30 shots, so I think maybe itīs still better to buy the cr-v3, since i wonīt go around taking shots of my dog, my left foot and so on.
I know that maybe it will sound annoying but i still would like to know the endurance, in terms of shots taken.
But anyway, THANKX!

It's all depend if you use the LCD screen or not. In Steve's review of the camera he can fill the whole 128Mb card on one charge:

ie turn the LCD off and you'll do more than 30 shots... hundreds!
