Default Spare battery for Casio EX-G1

I need a spare battery. Do you guys think after market batteries like techfuel on Amazon are as good as OEM?

No.

Since your camera is a new model, I’m going to assume that it’s still under warranty. If your cheap aftermarket bargain battery overheats and leaks all over the inside of your $300 camera, what do you think that would do to your warranty? Do you think Casio would give you a free replacement camera? How about Battery Heads? I kinda doubt it. You can buy an OEM battery for around $25. Why risk a $300 investment to save $15? Or even $25? Is it worth it?

Besides...the Techfuel battery on Amazon only has a 600 mAh capacity (or so they claim). The OEM battery has a 700 mAh capacity.

Now I’m sure, someone will come along and say that they bought an aftermarket battery on ebay for $.99, and it’s worked great for the last 15 years. They might even include a link for you. But I wouldn’t believe them...and neither should you.

After your camera warranty has expired, and you feel lucky...go ahead.

That advice makes sense!

Can you advise me on microsd memory cards. I though sandisk is best but they dont make a class 6 8Gb. any others?

No they upgraded all the extreme card to class 10.

You can get a longer life battery with 1400 mAh for about 20 bucks. I have uses their batteries with my canon, no issues.

I don't see where Sandisk has the "extreme" line for the microsdhc size. Am I missing something obvious?

Mircosd, though your were looking for sdhc, my bad. I do not think you will find anything faster then class 2 with such a little card.

transcends are very good card. JimC one of the admin of this board likes their sdhc card. And adorama is a very safe place to get card from. If you are looking for a class 6 microsd, it would not be a bad brand to get.

No there is no link to your question. But they are really up there with laxar, delkin, kingston, sandisk, and panasonic. Panasonic and Sandisk are the high end brands. But the rest are good card brands.
