Default The D1x internal battery

The D1x aside from it's main battery has a little rechargable one buried inside the machine. Anyone know where I can pick on of these guys up?

The manual states no. But checking with one "authorised" Nikon dealer, they claim it costs $150...

I e-mailed Nikon and they gave me the telephone number of their parts department - I will give them a call and find out what it actually costs. It's really just a cheap battery...

I would imagine that Nikon will be happy to rip me off at a cost of $25 bucks...

Yeah, it's a PITA for most cameras. I bought the only one I was able to find with a user replaceable one, though that wasn't why I got it. Of course, the idea that the camera is going to last longer than the internal battery warms the cockles of my little heart.

Turns out that Nikon USA wants all of $9.89 cents for the battery, which they have in stock...
