Default RC-V3 vs NiMh. a new question in this debate. HELP

i've spent hours trying to figure out what batteries to buy from my samsung V3.

i want batteries that give be the best overall performance. i've been looking at these 3 types

http://www.steves-digicams.com/2003_reviews/rcrv3.html

http://www.steves-digicams.com/2003_...yovac_ic3.html

http://www.123av.com/DetailPage.asp?ProductID=3CRV-3RK

and also at other NiHM batteries.

with the new 15 mintute batteries should i just buy those over the CRv3?

Also i was talking to a guy at Best Buy (i know they don't know much) however they told me that the newer NiHM batteries only self discharge at a rate of 1% per 30 days. Is this true?
so many questions. HELP

Why choose and not embrace both? They are cheap enough and lower than most single proprietary battery pack. That's what is so nice about this universal battery format NiMh or CR-V3, if your camera can accept them both.

IC3 for the quick charge convenience when needed (a lot of time they charge in much less than 15 minutes!) and the rechargeable CR-V3 Lithium Ion for long term back up when the IC3s run out of juice in the field... you need more than one set anyway!

Cost is a big deal. One set of RCRV3 is 69.00 plus shipping. The Ic3 is 40.00. I don't want to spend 109+ on batteries.

I am a college student and the 150 on the camera streched my funds slim.

If i buy the IC3s i'll buy the 4 pack and 4 battery charger.

Besides shelp life is there a big difference in the batteries. I've read all the reports but i want a real world answer. I mean if i get 300 shots with the IC3s and 400 with the RCR-V3 that i think the IC3 is a better deal. I could always re-charge them when i'm in the shower or something.

i need more people to reply to this. i really want to see what abunch of people think

... a 2nd 4-pack IC-3 only cost $12.99 at Walmart... so effectively you'll get 2 x 300 shots, you need a 2nd set anyway (regardless of which type of battery you'll end up picking). It's just like shooting with just one flash card!

I got a CR-V3 battery and charger on amazon.com for $25. The battery is $14.

The maker is ZUKZ.

Not too shabby!

About a month ago I bought five Delkin eFilm CR-V3 kits from Buy.com for $19.95 - don't pay retail for these things - use Shopping.com or Google and look around!

For the best price on NiMH AA's check out Thomas-Distributing, you'll find their stuff listed all over our NiMH Batteries page.
