Default Traveling With Batteries

Since I had the question earlier this month I want to thanks those who hleped point me int he right direction and here is what I learned in hopes it will help someone else out

Carrying Batteries and Traveling With Battery Devices On Airplanes. How many and types you can carry etc.

I have carried 12 in a pouch and 4 in the flash before, no issues. And lithium has to be in the carry on.

Thanks for the additional info from your experiences. I usually only get to travel by planes once every 2 years or so. I was hearing stories about the real rules and when I called Delta Airlines when I got my ticket and asked they referred to me a web site that was no help. People here were a big help. I just wanted to make sure I could carry 8AA spares plus the 4 AAs in my camera and that was a YES

I put a piece of electrical tape over the contact end of my batteries. Never had a problem.

I have plastic cases that came with the AA batteries that hold 4 batteries to a case which keeps them tight so need to do that. If the batteries were loose that would be a great idea.
