Yes, you made a very fine choice! I just purchased mine a week ago and it seems to satisfy my Minolta S414's thirst for batteries! This combo is the finest out there and worth every penny.
One other thing, if you're looking for an extra set of back up batteries, try the Duracell Accucharge. They are really good too. Got mine in Walmart for under $10, and you can use the charger you just bought to juice them up.

I have that same charger and I'm happy with it. Getting a charger without independent circuts doesn't make sense to me. And it also covers you when you don't put a batter into the charger all the way (not that I've ever done that... nope, not me.) Then only 1 battery isn't charged instead of 2 (or 4 in the worse case.)
