Default Canon T1i --- Batteries

If there are any T1i users out there who have used replacement LP-E5 batteries (like those through Amazon for about $10 or so), I would love to know how you made out with them. If you used one that worked out well, could you give me the name, where to buy, etc. It's not the way I would like to go, but $50 for a Canon battery? That hurts. Thanks.

Sorry about the slow response. I'm sure you have bought a new battery by now.
I've had good performance from generic batteries bought on eBay. I bought one
for my 500D/T1i. Still going strong after four years of use. Same story with
cheap batteries for my 50D, no failures in four years.

Buy from a seller with thousands of sales and 100% positive feedback.
I bought mine from super-electronics-uk eBay store. The replacement
claims to have a capacity of 1500mA/H. I don't know if it lives up to
this claim, but it does match or exceed the performance of the original
Canon battery.
